Yearning Whispers

In love's grasp, a unique sorrow we find,
A gentle ache, a sacrifice intertwined.
Like whispers fading in the evening air,
Or leaves falling with the autumn's flair.

With each step, I drift away from thee,
Hiding memories, setting them free.
Things once precious, now mere acts to show,
Belonging elsewhere, where they quietly glow.

Though wrong, another's touch you yearn to embrace,
Once full, now empty, in this endless race.
One held your heart, one remains true,
In the endless sky, his love shines through.
