# Way to Love To love is to learn the grammar of silence, how a held breath becomes a sentence, how the unsaid words arrange themselves like furniture in an empty room— each one a place to sit, a surface to rest upon. To love is to become a translator of glances, fluent in the dialect of skin, the syntax of a hand found in the darkness. To love is to know that closeness is not the same as understanding, that two people can lie in the same bed and still be continents apart, yet somehow this distance is also a kind of grace. To love is to accept that you will never fully know another person— there will always be rooms in them you cannot enter, doors that close softly even as you approach. And still, you move forward. Still, you speak. Still, you reach out into the uncertain dark and say: *Here. I am here.* This is the way. Not certainty, but the courage to remain uncertain, to stand in the doorway and wait, to love anyway.

today I woke
flooded with feeling
and fire in my blood...
my body ached
for yours here,
near me,
so I could give you
this awakening,
this burning
that rises through me.

my hands roam your body
without apology—
hungry, ardent,
tender, devoted.
I hear your breath catch,
your urgent wanting.
I feel it—desire, love,
the rapture of this moment!
what happens here,
many strain to name...
it is the transcendent,
the wordless way of loving!
