# Lovers They come together like two clouds, drifting across an empty sky— no plan, no destination, just the soft collision of form meeting form. For a moment they merge, become one swollen mass of grey, heavy with the weight of all they hold, all they dare not speak. Then the wind, indifferent and eternal, pulls them apart. One drifts north, one south, each carrying a piece of the other in the moisture of their becoming, in the space where they had briefly touched. They will never meet again in quite that way. The sky is too vast. The distance too kind. But sometimes, on certain afternoons when the light falls just so, they will see each other across the horizon and remember— not with longing, exactly, but with the quiet recognition of two things that were once beautifully, briefly, the same.

They look at each other, feel each other, desire each other,
caress each other, kiss, undress,
breathe, lie down, sniff,
penetrate, suck, change,
fall asleep, wake up, light up,
lust after each other, touch each other,
they are fascinated,
they chew, they like each other, they drool,
they become confused, they mate, they disintegrate,
they become lethargic, they die, they reintegrate,
they relax, they stretch, they wiggle,
they twist, they stretch, they warm themselves,
they strangle, they squeeze, they shudder,
they grope, they come together, they faint,
they repel, they enervate, they crave,
they attack, they bond, they collide,
they crouch, they seize, they dislocate,
they are pierced, embedded, riddled,
riveted, grafted, screwed,
swooned, revived, glowed,
beheld, ignited, freaked out,
melted, welded, charred, torn, bitten,
they assassinate, resurrect, seek each other,
fight, flee, evade and surrender.
