Early Star

The years have come, gone, you've fallen short
from my memories slowly,
your portrait in my heart, blurred
the arch of your shoulders, it glided away,
your voice and I didn't go after you
in the deeper and deeper forest of life.

Today I'm free to say your name,
I don't tremble at your eyes anymore.
Now I know you were one of many,
that youth is foolish, oh but precious, still!

Don't think, honey, that was all in vain.
and that it's all gone, oh, don't think so!
Because you live in it, everything's gone wrong.
In my eternal ties and my missed words,
and all missed greetings,
and in all my torn-up letters,
and all my misguided life...
you live and rule forever, forever!
