I notice you've provided a heading "Stories and Prose (Translated)" but no Bengali text to translate. Could you please share the Bengali content you'd like me to translate? I'm ready to work on transforming it into English literature that captures the original's essence and voice.

Those Who Hate

If you love someone, you must learn to accept what they love. If someone loves you, they must do the same.

If you need me, then you must accept all those needs of mine that you have no use for whatsoever. Something I do might very well irritate you! But when expressing that irritation, keep in mind—you need me, I don't need you. If I need you, the same rule applies to me.

Someone whose preferences you don't care about won't care about your preferences either—that's only natural. Especially if you need them, if being close to them benefits you, then whether they like something or not, you must either say something positive about it or keep your mouth shut. Opening your mouth will only push you further away from them.

You are nobody to decide whether I wear a lungi or pants in my own house. You might say, "The door was open, I've already entered, I have to say something!" By all means, say it! If after barging into someone's house uninvited, your heart yearns to say exactly what would earn you a thrashing, then I haven't the inclination to say anything about you. You don't need to be particularly wise to get thrashed—being a fool will do just fine! By the way, those who see an open door and barge right in—if they don't like what they find inside, they can always leave voluntarily through that same door! That would be far better than getting thrashed.

Those who talk about a person after seeing their work are called slanderers.
Those who talk about the work itself after seeing someone's work are called critics.
Slander requires no brains, criticism does. Now whether you want to dance around in love, thinking "I love the slanderer more than anyone else" for such a brainless creature is entirely your affair!

You may have plenty of time to hate me, but I don't have even a minute to tolerate your hatred. You've learned to hate me—good for you. I don't get paid for loving you or pretending to love you, so learn to keep that in mind before you dare come near me.

Those who hate you will hate you whether you do good work or bad work. Haters have no grammar, haters have no shame, haters don't have much in the way of achievements either. The only thing haters have is endless time to hate you! Until you actually know someone, their profession is being your hater! The funny thing is, you'll often find they don't actually know you either. They go after you without even knowing you! That's what happens when you don't have any real work to keep your hands busy!

You'll often notice that those who go after you think you're weak because you don't go after them. Alas, if only they knew—someone who's worth less to you than your shoes, of course you won't have the time or inclination to go after them, that's only natural! It's packs of mice that go after tigers! How do I know? When hundreds or even more people go after someone, even though those doing the chasing think of themselves as tigers and their target as a mouse, the actual situation is quite the reverse. A tiger doesn't need to chase a mouse—one roar from a tiger should be enough to flatten a mouse! Whoever does the chasing is either a mouse or a dog!

For such worthless people, you should have just this one policy: No why! Just accept or get lost!

  1. একদমই ঠিক কথা,যাকে প্রয়োজন তার কোনো কিছু ভালো না লাগলেও তার সাথে থাকতে হবে,,,, হয়তো ভালো কিছু বলে নয়তো মুখ বন্ধ করে
