Search

Humans essentially seek only security,
when they find none anywhere, they seek shelter;
when even shelter becomes hard to find, they seek love;
and when they can't find love anywhere either,
then they search for just one true friend.

The one I love
no longer loves me as before,
no longer calls me as before,
doesn't even speak a word...!

Nothing remains here now,
it feels as if there was never anything between us,
tell me, can one stay whole accepting everything this way?

If someone can still stay whole after all this,
then either they never loved at all,
or they merely performed love all along.

There is no greater punishment than this.
