Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Contention

Will you borrow my pen?
Then... wrap the pen
in the shawl of all your thoughts?

Whenever I'm alone with myself
I'm with you, I keep you close...
You arrive as a poem,
and because you're there
poems cling to my pen like dew.

Because you are such magnificent verse
I become, bit by bit, the poet's rival.
