Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Voluntary Captivity

I told you not to come,
yet you forced your way in!
Now how can I let you go?

I told you not to endure,
yet you chose to bear it all!
Now how can I stay without disturbing you?

Didn't I tell you not to indulge?
Yet you never listened!
Now how can I give up my own place?

Didn't I tell you, tell yourself, that
you shouldn't let yourself be caught by me,
not even by mistake!
Yet you let yourself be caught, laughing as you surrendered!
Now tell me, how do I settle this tangle of accounts?

Don't stay so silent!
This silence should have been there from the start!
Willing captivity is good at the beginning, not at the end!
