Unheard Dialogue of Tears

Whether humans believe in the Creator or not—
what does it matter to the Creator?
Whether humans believe in love or not—
what does it matter to love?

The sounds that trees make when they weep,
those ultrasonic frequencies—
even when humans cannot hear them,
they can at least see.

But some tears
can neither be heard nor seen—
who feels compassion for such weeping?
Who comes to stop such tears?

And perhaps it is while weeping just such tears
that humans ask the Creator
for themselves
a life without connections?

When humans grow weary of other humans,
after that...
and even after that...
after countless wastes of time,
do humans then pray to the Creator
for a life
without expectations?
