# Under The Spotlight I stand here, bathed in light— a creature of the moment, my shadow stretched long behind me like a tail I cannot shed. The eyes are upon me, countless and unblinking, each one a small sun burning its particular heat. I am what they have come to see: the ordinary made luminous, the small made significant by the sheer force of their watching. But who watches the watcher? Who tends the light when it grows too bright, when it begins to burn? I have learned to smile in the glare of it all, to move as though I belong in this borrowed brightness. Yet here, in the center of everything, I am somehow most alone— suspended in their gaze like a fly in amber, beautiful and perfectly still, and utterly, irrevocably trapped.

Life is a scene,
dreams are just the curtain, expected to fall,
you dance in pain, leap toward love's birth,
and then vanish into the grey world!

I don't ask to be understood—
an actor was born alongside me too...
And I suffer and weep,
threading joy through the tears,
surrendered wholly to this turbulent game,
yes, life is my stage,
and its end, dark, arrives in death...

I want the freedom to chase my dreams,
burning bright to the final breath—
after a gentle spectacle
that has touched heaven in its central role
---to make me human at last!
