Truth Like Poetry: 14

281. The one who is near yet absent—
they are the ones who deepen sorrow!
The one who is distant yet present—
they are the ones who heal sorrow!

The one who is near yet absent
thinks the credit is theirs!
The one who is distant yet present
knows the credit is theirs!

A lantern close by,
a soul far away!

283. A new love,
a new life.

284. Our sighs
are, in the end, just air.
Our tears
are, in the end, just water.

We...
cry when love is denied,
lose it when love is given.

Our loves
are, in the end, just sorrow.

285. Even if we never meet again,
I will carry you till death—
within me,
beyond me.

In the spaces between these fingers,
in each of my thoughts.

You will remain exactly there—
where I rest when weary,
where I return after weariness ends.

Within me—
what begins, that too is you;
what ends, that too is you.

286. It's possible to love everyone,
but impossible to hate them all.

287. "Former."
This is not a word.
This is an entire chapter.

heal through neglect.
Tiny wounds of the heart—
grow through care.

289. From the one who seeks passion,
we end up asking for love!

From the one who seeks love,
we end up asking for passion!

We get neither passion,
nor love!

290. Where are all my old enemies
now that I have new haters?

291. If haters thought of God
even half as much as they think
of me every day,
He would come running in an instant!

I have hated them most
in this life.

The one who hates me—
I have loved them most
in this life.

Perhaps this is what they call settling scores!

Just say this much—
you're busy right now.

That will do.
I haven't taken to the streets
just because I love you.

hurting me becomes
easy enough!

But if I don't love you,

pain is far beyond
the question!

some people can't find
despite searching desperately!

makes you turn away,
how many people
long to glimpse
even their shadow!

when will I block them!

Someone keeps me in fear—
when will they block me!

to a single message of mine—

how many people wait
for my replies!

candid and sincere
understand that
sincerity must be increased!

nothing worth keeping.

from it,
the further behind you'll fall.
