Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Tranquil in Composure

When you place your tenderness
so carefully upon my lips,
as your breath deepens...
pain retreats in silence,
the wild urgency of our embrace grows clear.

In the quiet consent of hearts touching...
you become restless,
your slow voice carries the melody of desire,
as if the ache of longing seeks release.

I surrender to your body—
all my earthly joys;
and then...
every fulfillment becomes meaningless,
every emotion exiled,
love has chosen sides,
the hours of waiting have grown longer,
the fierce edge of wanting finds its peace.
