Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Touching tears, touching tears

I need not shrink in fear of losing you anymore—
I have already lost you.

The dread of where to go leaving you behind can no longer chase me,
for someone has come to keep you safe.

I need not ache my head wondering if your poems went wrong—
you have found your reader at last.

You get everything—
what was meant for you, and what was meant for me too.

Don't be sad.
Even if you leave me behind and go, I don't go anywhere, I cannot go.
Feel this: I am here.

You weep with joy, finding new life—I touch those tears with my finger.
I am here, close by your side.

You don't believe it?
Close your eyes—you'll catch the scent of my skin.
