Bonsai of Thoughts (Translated)

Thoughts in Bonsai: One Hundred Thirty-One

1. Someone said in passing,
there is no loyalty in you.
Then why do you deprive them,
those who are loyal to you?

2. Don't give this love
the chance
to torment you anymore.

3. If the one you love
is at fault,
why aren't you judging them?

4. Someday make time
to let me weep my heart out.

5. The person who weeps quietly, sobbing,
never mock their sorrow.

6. Ignoring the fierce demand to cast your gaze,
how long will you keep your eyes covered this way?

7. At least for once,
why don't you clear away all barriers?

8. Those who understand poetry
are right around you!
Then why have you trapped yourself this way?

9. On some night of anguish
with a restless heart
have you ever seen
sorrow touch the sky?

10. The color of shattered dreams—
can even that be painted and shown!

11. When even friends shed their skins,
what choice is there but
to trust the snake!

12. The beloved brushed hair from her face.
It seemed some clouds had moved away from the moon.

13. Your memories come
and adorn even this desert!

14. What is this roar in the river's waves?
You came, so even the waves became strange?

15. If possible, others' pain—
why not lessen it a little?

16. If the anguish of separation
were a little less, perhaps
would its grandeur diminish?

17. When pain comes
show it a little
respect!
Pain too has its pride!

18. Don't weep so much;
your eyes will dry up.
Life still lies ahead!

19. Be careful;
don't mistakenly
burn yourself dreamless!

20. Since I've already fallen,
with the force of pain's intensity
start losing faith!
