Bonsai of Thoughts (Translated)

Thought Bonsai: Two Hundred and Six

1. I have no desire to understand whether you love me or not.
You irritate me, you disturb my peace...
Beyond this, no other thought enters my mind.

2. You will never know what you have lost.
You never knew what you had.

3. People stay with those they love,
and want to stay with those who give them peace.

4. What a strange creature is man!
He seeks peace only after death!

5. Those who cannot create
chase after the creator.

6. Some love, some watch love, some think about love.
None of these is a happy thing.

7. "What can I do for you?"
"You would help me greatly by doing nothing at all."

8. The day I first saw you was the day I was born.
The day you left was the day I died.
As long as you were beside me, I was alive.

9. If we two are happy like this,
what does it matter what they say,
those who are not happy themselves?

10. Come, let us get drunk.
Isn't it better to be drunk than to be sorrowful?

11. For one who knows how to sing,
it is more urgent to be a singer
than to be busy.

12. Nothing new happens in this person's life.
Every day, just like the day before,
he fails once more.

13. Ah, if only something would happen in life
that once it happens, cannot be abandoned—
it would be good to keep it!

14. I had met you.
If I had kept you, life would have changed.
Yet I did not let you stay.
Simply because I don't know how to love,
I continue to lose so much even after having it.

15. When someone whose good character serves me no purpose
keeps saying and saying... that my character is bad,
it irritates me greatly.

16. My heart is not sad,
I am simply tired.

17. So many people want to stay by my side;
only that one person doesn't stay
whose presence would have made me feel less alone.

18. Even today
in my mind
I talk with that person.

19. If you let me disappear,
I will never let you find me again.
Won't you feel pain then? Is it really that easy?

20. We wait.
We keep on waiting.
While waiting
we die at some point.
Yet until the moment before death, we never learn
exactly what we were waiting for!
