Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Thirst

In fever's grip I ramble wild and stray,
You are no longer here beside me!

I fear to speak what lies within my heart,
How can I push you from my mind apart?

For every plot to steal you from my side,
I know the charm to bring you back with pride.

I love you vast as sky, caressed your eyes,
Those precious eyes — for whom did I sacrifice!?

I'm drunk, I'm numb, I thirst to see your face,
Come quick, behold — my final moments race!

I write you poems, sing you every song,
Come once — let sight of you heal what's gone wrong.
