Singer/Composer of Country Song. Obviously, he is one of the top20 singers of
the last century. He is my all-time favourites. I have collected almost 200
songs of John Denver. you may collect from me. Believe me buddy. I couldn’t
delete even a single song of Denver. All of those songs touch my soul. My most
favorite songs are:

It’s true. But I rather prefer being
in my country. It’s better to be a first-class citizen of a second-class
country than to be a second-class citizen of a first-class country apart from
performing the core responsibilities to the country and countrymen. Who will
return the 8 lacs to your country if you don’t?

…….. আপনার অভিজ্ঞতা এত সুন্দরভাবে শেয়ার করার জন্য ধন্যবাদ। হয়তো আপনি এমন মানুষদের দেখেছেন যারা তাদের জীবন ও জীবিকা নিয়ে সত্যিই সন্তুষ্ট। কিন্তু, আমার জানামতে, বেশিরভাগ যোগ্য প্রকৌশলী তাদের বর্তমান অবস্থায় খুশি নন। তারা তাদের অবস্থা ভালো করার জন্য খুব কঠিন পরিশ্রম করেন। আর, সেই একই প্রকৌশলীরা বাংলাদেশে এত কঠিন পরিশ্রম করতে কখনো রাজি হন না এবং শেষে তাদের দেশকেই দোষারোপ করেন। তারা যদি এখানে থেকে একইভাবে কাজ করতেন, তাহলে তাদের সামাজিক অবস্থান আরও ভালো হতো। তাদের কেউ কেউ এই দেশকে একেবারে অসম্মান করেন। এটা কষ্ট দেয়, ভাই……… আর, ৮ লাখ পাঠানোর হিসাবটা সবসময় সঠিক নয়, বন্ধু। কিন্তু, তাদের জন্য ৮ লাখ খরচ করার হিসাবটা সবসময়ই সত্য! আর, যারা সত্যিকার অর্থে এই দেশকে সাহায্য করছেন, তাদের সংখ্যা খুবই কম। শুধু ভাবুন, বাকি যারা তাদের অঙ্গীকারের তোয়াক্কা করেন না, তাদের কথা। তারাই সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ। কারও যদি তার দেশের সেবা করার মানসিকতা থাকে, তাহলে সে দেশে থাকুক বা না থাকুক, সে তা করতে পারে। কিন্তু চিত্রটা ঠিক উল্টো। বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের স্নাতকরা এটা নিয়ে ভাবুক বা না ভাবুক, আমার কোনো সমস্যা নেই। কিন্তু, সরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের স্নাতকদের অবশ্যই সরকার কর্তৃক এই দেশের সেবা করতে বাধ্য করা উচিত। তাদের অবশ্যই একটি চুক্তি সই করতে হবে যে তারা উচ্চশিক্ষা শেষ করে ফিরে আসবেন। অথবা, তাদের নির্দিষ্ট দায়িত্ব ও বাধ্যবাধকতার আওতায় আনা উচিত যেখানে উল্লেখ থাকবে তারা কী এবং কীভাবে অবদান রাখবেন। ভারত সরকার ইতিমধ্যে এরকম কিছু ব্যবস্থা নিয়েছে। আর, ওই এনজিও নিয়ে আপনার অভিজ্ঞতা শুনে সত্যিই ভালো লাগলো। শুধু ভাবুন, ওই দেশপ্রেমিকরা যদি বিদেশে ৮-১০ বছর থাকার পর বাংলাদেশে ফিরে আসতেন, তাহলে চিত্রটা কেমন হতো। অবশ্যই আরো ভালো হতো। আমরা এখন আমাদের মানুষের জন্য, আমাদের দেশের জন্য কিছু আদর্শ ও দক্ষ মানুষ চাই।

সবচেয়ে সহজ কাজে সেরা হওয়ার লোভনীয় আকর্ষণকে প্রতিরোধ করা সহজ নয়। আর, এটাই আমাদের ধ্বংস করে…….. (আমার ব্যক্তিগত অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে শেয়ার করা)
যদি আমরা অন্যদের আগে থেকেই অভিজ্ঞ না পাই? অথবা, অন্যের জুতায় পা দেওয়ার ব্যাপারটা অবহেলা করি? আমি হেঁটেছি, আর আমি কষ্ট পেয়েছি। আমি জানতাম দুঃখ শেখায়। আর, শিক্ষাটা সবসময়ই চমৎকার হয়। একটা মুহূর্তও অকেজো নয় যখন আমরা আনন্দ করি আর হাসি। যদি তাও হয়, আমরা সবসময় নিশ্চিত থাকি ভবিষ্যতে কাজের মুহূর্ত পাওয়ার।

Most of the people are nice here.
But, in my case, even it so happened that I was bad-tempered, couldn’t
recognize some and just removed them. I still regret for it. I know, I did
wrong to them. I’m sorry…….. However, some people look nicer when they’re
not in my friend-list. It’s always better to not to stay close to them.
Masima, I can partly guess what
problem you faced. It was not fair, for sure. Those ‘frenemies’ are really
dangerous. There are some helpful persons too. I’ve met some divine-like
personalities on Facebook. I don’t know why they cared for such an
insignificant entity like me, but some common feeling made them do so. In fact,
everyone else meets such wonderful people too. It’s difficult to recognize such
people. I often can’t do it. It’s an art…….. Bad World? Hahahaha masima. We
were born in a Good Earth. You can remember? Huh? We made it bad afterwards,
and continue calling it bad bad bad…….. I don’t know why some among us like
to see it bad, why they make it so. But they do. It’s not what we’re here for.
……… I sincerely wish you
always couldn’t resist to join me. Yes, I mean it……… You’d such wonderful
friends as you really deserve their company. What you give, comes back to you.
It really works in case of relationship. I’ve known you for quite a long time,
and I know how aptly you can communicate with others’ thoughts. It’s a great
skill! I don’t know why you’ve lost some friends from your list. Maybe their
presence was desirable no more. I can clearly remember that most of my nice
friends who are not in my list now, aren’t there as I couldn’t be so tactful
about relationship. I’m often fooled by my emotions (I was telling you this the
other day while chatting)…….. Feeling nothing harms, feeling bad kills!!
…….. If you don’t hurt people,
it doesn’t mean that they won’t hurt you too. I’ve experience. It’s a world of
better things in the worst forms. Several bad things happen to good people
here. Good people do good things but it doesn’t make sure that they get good
things in return. Believe me masima, such go on things! No justice comes from
asking, WHY ME? I’M NOT THAT BAD!!!

realize it more now as I’m not with my parents. Most of the phone calls I
receive every day tell me mainly the needs of the callers, except those of my
parents. They only need to know how I’m. No one on earth will ever care for you

to do. Such friends are rarely found, though. When they appear in your life,
you’ll really have the meaning of life and living. It’s a heavenly feeling,

question: Do you like me? Yes, it’s really difficult to answer honestly. Ok,
let me be honest. There happened nothing yet to dislike you or even there
happened nothing yet that made me think whether I like you or not. If I consider
just a natural approach, I must like you as you’ve always been kind and nice to
me so far. And, I can remember very clearly that you provided some types mental
support and also suggestion during our long virtual stay through Facebook. It’s
really nice to think and feel. We’ve differences and sometimes our mutual
sharing also conveyed it, but we were never hostile to each other. I don’t know
you personally, neither do you. If I did or you did, we might prove more
friendly than we are now. The opposite case might be true, but we will be
solely liable if it proves so!! Thanks.

Brother, to enjoy coffee with you—what
supreme good fortune that would be for me! I know that one day I shall surely
witness that beautiful moment……… A few anthologies lay beside me, and I
was turning through their pages. With me were Keats, Arnold, Neruda, Dryden…
Sunil, Bishnu Dey, Shakti, Jibanananda, Sudhindranath… and several translated
poems (this collection is extraordinary!)……. It pains me deeply when I
think that reading habits are diminishing; then I miss the old days terribly,
beloved faces come knocking at memory’s door……. Yet sometimes again I
think, this is life!

Have we ever thought that when we
tell someone, “You don’t have the ability to do it”, and he/she
really fails to do it, we also share some responsibility of his/her failure? Do
we have the right to do so?
Who am I to discourage a person if I
can’t help him/her? Either be nice to him/her, or just leave him/her to his/her
own destiny. Sushanta Paul My experiment with the truth tells me so. Whenever
we hold down the spirit of someone, he can hardly take care of what he does.
It’s better to do nothing for someone than to do bad to him. When we insult
someone’s worth, we actually show our inability to find out his worth. A man
with a good personality can never do this, I think.

irony! People praise us sincerely when we have little money. They just become
flatterers when we’ve enough of it. They kill us every moment by being much
more loyal than they really need to be. And, foolishly enough, we like rather
to be flattered than to be praised. No matter, we do good or bad, they just
keep flattering.

Helping others is the nicest thing to do. Whenever we help others, we actually
serve the purpose for which we were sent to this earth. It’s a great feeling!
Nothing can beat such a feeling. Being kind to others brings the best gift for
us. Life itself is a gift. The more we give, the more we receive. Every work of
kindness has its own reward.
………. Sister, let me sum up in
this way…………… You buy furniture. You tell yourself, “This is the
last sofa I will ever need in my life.” Buy the sofa, then for a couple
years you’re satisfied that no matter what goes wrong, at least you’ve got your
sofa issue handled. Then the right set of dishes. Then the perfect bed. The
drapes. The rug. Then you’re trapped in your lovely nest and the things you
used to own, now they own you…………… Yes, it’s what really happen!!

for and that’s —- books!! They make my heaven and my family & friends
make it worth-living!!

…….. নরকে বাস করা নিশ্চয়ই কথার আগুনের চেয়ে সহজ! কেউ যদি তোমাকে নরকের মতো অনুভব করায়, তাহলে তাকে তোমার ক্রোধের স্বর্গে(!) বেড়াতে আমন্ত্রণ জানাও। সেখান থেকে বের হওয়ার জন্য তারা সবসময় নরককেও ভালো জায়গা বলে খোঁজ করবে!

the use of being so, then? What’s the use of my heavy-weighted degrees if they
can serve only me? Why should others care for those stupid degrees? Why??

big difference. But, is it really easy to be simple? I tried many times to have
an easy view towards life and failed. What is to blame? My education? Who are

suggests so…….. But usually I tell others about my plans………. Should I
try to change this habit?

suggestion. But I’ve already told many of my goals and targets; let’s see
whether they meet success; I hope they will. But, from now on I’ll try to
follow your advice and resist my popular temptation of telling others. But I
really met some of my goals (not so BIG, though) by the approach I used to follow……….
But, the one you’ve suggested, sounds the better.

Dogs are male, cats are female!!
Proof that all dogs are male:
1. Dogs, like men, are completely
predictable.
2. They are supremely interested in
your nether regions and pathetically unable to hide this fact.
3. They don’t respond when you shout
in their ear, but they can hear the sound of a packet containing something
consumable being opened a kilometer away.
4. If you once let them hog your
sofa, they will feel like they own it.
5. They eat anything. Their basic
philosophy is put stuff in their mouths first, ask questions later.
6. They are intensely loyal but
sometimes stray through sheer stupidity.
7. When they are not happy, they
don’t say anything, but sulk and growl and knock things over.
8. They emit large amounts of gas
from both ends.
9. They often consume ill-advised
items until they are sick, give you a sad “never again” look, and then
do the same thing again the next day.
Proof that all cats are female:
1. They are completely
unpredictable.
2. They expect to be worshipped all

3. They look cute but are

মানুষ যখন ধন্যবাদ বলতে ভুলে যায় তখন আমার সত্যিই রাগ হয়। অধিকাংশ মানুষ ভদ্রলোক নয়!!
তুমি অন্য সবার কাছে ভদ্রলোক; এটা কখনো নিশ্চয়তা দেয় না যে তারাও তোমার কাছে ভদ্রলোক হবে। কিন্তু কেন? অদ্ভুত!
……….. কিছু মানুষ এত অদ্ভুত; তারা কখনো তোমাকে ধন্যবাদ দিতে কষ্ট করে না এমনকি কৃতজ্ঞতার কোনো ইশারাও দেখায় না! ছোট্ট একটি সাহায্যেরও নিজস্ব মূল্য আছে; একবার ভেবে দেখো তুমি যদি এটা না পেতে তাহলে কী হতো। আর মানুষ যখন সামান্যতম শিষ্টাচার দেখাতে ভুলে যায়, মনে হয় যেন তাদের সাহায্য করাটা আমার কর্তব্য ছিল! তাই নাকি? কেউ যখন তাদের সাহায্য করছিল তখন তারা কেন অকৃতজ্ঞতার সেই নিদর্শন দেখায় না? একবার স্বস্তি পেয়ে গেলেই তারা ভুলে যায় কে বা কী তাদের এই স্বস্তি এনে দিয়েছে! অসম্মতিজনক!!
……… আমার ওয়ালে আপনার উপস্থিতির জন্য ধন্যবাদ, স্যার। আমরা কদাচিৎ আমাদের শেখানো চিন্তাভাবনা ও ধারণার বাইরে যেতে পারি। আর দুঃখজনকভাবে, আমাদের জাতীয় চরিত্র যতটা আনুষ্ঠানিক ও ভদ্র হওয়া উচিত ততটা নয়। কিছু মানুষ সত্যিই অত্যন্ত প্রশংসনীয়, তবুও অধিকাংশ স্রেফ অভদ্র। আমি অকৃতজ্ঞতা ও সাহায্যের প্রতি উদাসীনতা (ছোট হোক বা বড়) সহ্য করতে পারি না। ব্রিটিশত্বের দুটি বিষয় আমার ব্যক্তিগতভাবে ভালো লাগে, আনুষ্ঠানিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি ও দায়িত্বশীল আচরণ —- যা আমাদের মানুষের মধ্যে সম্পূর্ণ অনুপস্থিত………… ক্লিপের লিংকটি আমাদের দেশের দুই শীর্ষস্থানীয় ব্যক্তির দায়িত্বহীন কথাবার্তা ও আচরণের জন্য আমাকে সত্যিই দুঃখিত করেছে। মাঝে মাঝে আমি আমাদের কিছু বৈশিষ্ট্যের জন্য সত্যিই লজ্জিত বোধ করি। সেগুলোকে আর কোনো অজুহাতের ক্ষতিপূরণ দেওয়া উচিত নয়; সর্বদা অজুহাত মানে অজুহাতই নয়। আমার মনোভাব অসংবেদনশীল মনে হলে ক্ষমা করবেন। বাস্তবতা নরম কণ্ঠকে উচ্চস্বরে করে তোলে। “উদাসীন থাকো, ভালো থাকো।”………… বিষয়গুলো সম্পর্কে এমন নির্মম উদাসীনতা বজায় রাখা সবসময় সহজ নয়!!
