Bengali Poetry (Translated)

The Path of Dreams

Here sleeps that girl,
who once sold her sleep to buy dreams,
whose nights in youth were nothing but sleepless.
All her hopes soared in that same sky,
she made her peace with fate,
whatever she could call her own,
everything she surrendered in search of dreams.

Drunk on starlight, she went to war with the moon,
alas, before that war could end, dawn arrived!
Dreams fell face-first, defeated by destiny—
as they always do!
