I'm ready to translate your Bengali poetry into English. Please share the Bengali text you'd like me to translate, and I'll create a literary translation that captures the essence, voice, and emotional truth of the original while maintaining natural, idiomatic English that reads as literature in its own right.

The Mantra of Life

I search for it
in the midst of the world,
nowhere do I find its face;
the more I seek,
the farther it recedes,
becomes a fading trace.

I grasp and grasp,
cannot hold it fast,
it slips into fathomless deep;
I call and call through all,
get no answer at all,
wander only in darkness to weep.

I run and run,
find no place to rest,
return alone in tears;
I understand yet don't,
what trick desire plays,
keeping these eyes bound for years.

I know nothing at all,
why I want it so,
why I bear such pain;
this anguish of despair,
whose cause I cannot name,
why I carry it, I can't explain.

Such deep enchantment,
such hard rope of maya,
even broken, will not break;
I want more and more,
whatever little I gain,
desire never seems to slake.

I'll be happy, friend,
so I keep running,
become a complete machine;
whatever I do,
however much wealth I hold,
one peace alone is life's refrain.
