I'm ready to translate your Bengali poetry into English. Please share the Bengali text you'd like me to translate, and I'll create a literary translation that captures the essence, voice, and emotional truth of the original while maintaining natural, idiomatic English that reads as literature in its own right.

The Flip Side of Thought

All day I wearied myself, thinking I'd sleep soundly at night, yet sleep would not come.

I studied all year, stayed ahead of everyone, yet I was the first to fail my results.

After cutting my hair into a bob, I realized
long hair suited me better.

'The mountains call to me!' — this simple truth, I who never leave home could never speak aloud!

The one I loved misunderstood me and took another's hand,
while the one I didn't love taught me how to love!

The one I wanted to build a life with already had a life built,
while the one I never thought about thinks of me day and night!

In my hour of need, my dear friend pretended not to know me,
while someone I barely knew pulled me close to their heart!

The white shirt I'd saved to wear on my birthday — that very shirt got stained with tea!

The one I trusted enough to bare my heart to was sitting in the shadows, waiting to stab me!

I, who never touched tea, betel leaf, or tobacco in my life, was the first to get cancer!

So is it true that nothing we plan ever works out right?
