The Duality of Light and Shadow

I begin my journey on a solitary path...
To establish my place at that point of light—
Each step taken for specific reasons,
though the intent remains undefined.

Beyond the crowds of people,
I confine myself—
in a free prison,
an unfettered cell of "self-purification."

The longer this refined path becomes,
the clearer grows the destination of worship—
at the edge of this imperfect vision.

In the stillness of sudden apocalypse,
I face a wonder—
in this solitary wandering,
I have met someone many times;
yet today, in this moment, I see Him as if for the first time—
something startles within my chest,
when I see Him in His true form...clearly.

On this silent path,
beyond the eerie darkness
from an unknown source
a faint light begins—
someone softly asks—
aren't you weary from this endless journey?
With a gentle touch, it vanished into the sky's depths.

At that very moment,
I found the presence that walks with me—
standing there, before me.
How strange—
could I not feel His presence all this while?
With steady gaze He revealed Himself openly—
in formless-form.

Who am I, truly?—
A retreating shadow,
a line of fleeting understanding,
the inner shade of expansive sight,
an eternally wakeful consciousness.
