The Dispassionate Inner Light

What do you see in my tears?—
The language of transparency.

What do you seek, gazing into my eyes?—
The lines of emptiness.

What did you find, touching my body?—
Confession of pain.

After burning through passion, why did you seek me out at last?—
To examine yourself.

What did you ask, breathing upon my wounds?—
The necessity of love.

Why did you place your emotion on my lips?—
To awaken the yearning for offering.

Why did you write your name in my silence?—
To quench the thirst for peace.

What did you gain by departing soundlessly?—
The intact tenderness of your existence.

Have you managed to gauge your own capacity?—
I have been able to love you.
