The Bonsai of Thoughts: Sixty

1. From what never truly disappears,
how does man still manage to hide!

2. Life was once so very simple.
Then I met you!

3. You were everything to me.
Then one day I realized,
no one should be thought of as everything.

4. You don't have to solve any of my problems.
Just stay beside me, that's enough.

5. The one I trusted as much as my own breath,
one day did something such that
it became painful to breathe!

6. One day everything will end.
Even then, know this:
I love you.

7. The one who left,
and the one who stayed—
our skin bears witness to both their touches.

8. Wherever you are,
I am with you.
I love you today just as I did before.

9. I was born in the wrong place,
I grew up in the wrong place,
I studied in the wrong place,
I am living the wrong life.

10. Today I am recovering.
Tomorrow I will be wounded again.
Whatever happens, I will see it through to the end.

11. What has happened cannot be changed!
But what will happen—its face can be altered if you wish.

12. If you ever fall into this dilemma—
me? or someone else?—
that very day, leave me and go!

13. Whoever you marry,
if they're good, they'll cause trouble,
if they're bad, they'll cause trouble too.

But if they're good, they'll think
causing this trouble is their right!

14. What is it that's missing! What is it that's missing!
After searching long, I understood:
it's only me that's missing!

15. I had told you,
wherever you go, I'll recognize you perfectly.
But lately, even when you're right in front of me, I can't quite recognize you!

16. Come, let us live like the ocean.
Rise up in fury with one wave,
calm down with the next.
Yet stay wherever we are.

17. Whatever anyone may say,
if your heart says,
'No! This is not for me!',
then know that to be right.

18. Rather than going against my heart to become good,
I'd rather follow my heart and be bad!
I'll be punished if I'm good, punished if I'm bad anyway!

19. I too wanted to be a lion.
Later I saw that my legs tremble, my voice isn't very strong either.

Everyone can't do everything, but everyone can do many things that make living worthwhile.
