Bengali Poetry (Translated)

The Beginning of Unknown Fear

What I needed to know,
before I could understand what that was,
you had already told me everything—
though it was never yours to tell.

What this has done is this:
where I might live without fear,
before I could understand those places,
even in those seasons of life I no longer dread,
where once I would have chosen to live afraid.

Some fears... that are not strangers,
if conquered... the fear does not diminish.
The end of familiar fear is only the beginning of unknown fear!
