Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Tears Woven in Fragrance

One.

When you come so close to me...
I sink into some kind of trance.
Our feelings align in perfect equation, as if—
no contract of accounts
exists between us.

Just to feel your touch, I'm willing
to wait until I die.

Two.

If I could hold you close
and weep a little!
It would feel so light...
Still, I must spend more time
drowning in tears.

If I could weave feeling for a while
wrapped in the fragrance of your chest!
More poems would be born,
yet still I must return.
