Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Stubborn

Let people say what they will—
I shall love you, yes I shall!
Call me mad if you must,
or drunk,
I shall keep you close, yes I shall!

Let people think what they will—
I shall paint your portrait, yes I shall!
Call it my foolishness if you must,
or my madness,
I shall color you in hues, yes I shall!

Let people know what they will—
I shall merge into you, yes I shall!
Call it my shamelessness if you must,
or my recklessness,
I shall bind you to me, yes I shall!

Let people do what they will—
I shall make you my life's story, yes I shall!
Call me selfish if you must,
or greedy,
I shall bring you to rapture, yes I shall!
