Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Silent Suicide

I no longer live
amid the crowds that filled most of my life.

In the presence of that powerless, frightened
soul within me
I have placed an eternal truth—
the very thing I learned to live by.

If through some small neglect of mine...
it crumples and breaks—
I will never forgive myself.

In that moment I recognized humanity,
learned even more—
that apart from me, there is no one else
for my self;
just as—without you
my feelings have no existence.
