Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Sensation

I find such ease in wanting you
all the time, every moment,
with me, for myself alone.

My entire day
passes in some invisible, unspoken joy thinking of you—
you could never imagine!

Even a small attention from you keeps me so happy!
To find myself again in the mirror of your eyes,
I am ready this very moment to be born a thousand times without hesitation!

That you love me, that you want me near—
to see just this longing in your eyes, I could live a thousand years!

Your growing fondness for me each day,
your search for happiness in staying close to me,
your missing me a little even amid a hundred tasks,
your way of breaking my anger with the folds of your words,
watching you sink deeper into the intoxication of my name—
for all of this, I am willing to remain forever unsated,
loving you a thousand times in a thousand ways!

How much this 'you' means to me—
how can I make you understand?
In you alone I will dissolve for a hundred lifetimes,
and just thinking this brings me such boundless peace!
Because I have this key called 'you,'
I still live, I still laugh, I still...
dream of living a little more!
