Bengali Poetry

Revulsion

I no longer find any pleasure in watching these charades of love.

I no longer find any pleasure in witnessing these games of trust.

I no longer find any pleasure in telling someone I love them.

I no longer find any pleasure in letting myself be tangled in someone's web of lies.

I no longer find any pleasure in watching emotions sold for selfish gain.

I no longer find any pleasure in watching love lose to wealth, fame, and power.

I no longer find any pleasure in seeing homes built on ruined foundations.

I no longer find any pleasure in trusting anyone from any angle.

I no longer find any pleasure in suffocating in this graveyard called love.

I no longer find any pleasure in keeping any friendship with the twisted people of this crooked world.
