Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Plea

Gathering the folds of my sari,
will you gather me too?
When the rain falls heavy,
will you step with care?

I am very tidily disheveled,
but you are just so—
like birds taking flight,
a flock of black and white.

Loving me a little,
will you kiss my eyelids?
Sidestepping my wayward nature,
will you stay only mine?
