I'm ready to translate your Bengali poetry into English. Please share the Bengali text you'd like me to translate, and I'll create a literary translation that captures the essence, voice, and emotional truth of the original while maintaining natural, idiomatic English that reads as literature in its own right.

Night smeared on my skin

Night sky, restless wind—
how good it feels...
So much said in silence!
Sweet ache in the mute heart!
O emptiness, pour your yearning
into my soul...
Ah, I sense a response—someone there
loves me truly!

I dig deep in my heart and see
everything in me is dark;
only restless hope keeps breaking,
futile thirst gathers in my heart;
where is my love?
Alas, where is my light?
Light hidden in darkness
suddenly feels so right.

Silent darkness, silent light
singing a silent song,
see how my offering of pain
soars through the sky;
then go, break apart, my heart,
wander and roam in that very sky,
the wind weeps in plaintive tune
gazing into your eyes;
dim light plays with light—
go rushing to its side...

Don't forget your binding spell, O mind,
don't step into hope's snare again;
stars race across the sky,
only adding scars to the moon!
Let the games of intoxication stay far away,
let life's day pass as it may,
see, see the gathering of the forlorn—
vanish and be gone,
in the night, in light's shadow,
dive into the fathomless depths!
