Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Let it be however it is

Love, or is it pretense?
Drunken wind, or is it scent?
You want paper, or the pen?
Will you wound, or will you mend?
Strike a pose, or paint with hue?
Sing opera, or sketch it true?
Teresa, or Mussolini?
Emperor, or beggar's plea?

Marbles, or the icy drink?
You love both, I know and think.
Sweetmeat, or the curd so white?
Oh! For you, just one's all right!

Will you court, or will you love?
Hold me close, or draw above?

I won't say I love in lies.
You can't say you care with sighs.
