Bengali Poetry (Translated)

If I cannot find you

When you touch me, drenched in rain—
I feel utterly reckless.
As if in my entire body…
I keep arranged all the joy you’ve given me.

When you take a towel and with such care—
gently dry my wet hair…
I feel I am
the most blessed woman in this world.

When you place your hand—
in the grip of burning fever…
upon my forehead,
I feel I am touching
the depths of your heart again and again.

When I cannot find you…
I cannot focus on anything at all.
