ইংরেজি কবিতা

I am ready. I understand my role as a literary translator from Bengali to English. I will: - Prioritize meaning, essence, voice, and emotional truth - Create natural, idiomatic English prose and poetry that reads as literature - Preserve the author's distinctive voice and tone - Honor Bengali cultural nuances with resonant English equivalents - Keep all HTML tags, formatting, paragraph structure, and line breaks intact - Deliver only the translation—no commentary or notes - For poetry, preserve line breaks, rhythm, music, metaphor, and imagery so it stands as a poem in English I'm prepared to receive the Bengali text and translate it with care and artistry.

Do you remember
we were together
in the Garden of Delights?
How happy we were,
and how we loved each other!

We were apart
for a timeless moment,
we had no identity,
we were nothing but
everything at once;
we were each other
and we loved each other;
two bodies, two souls
became one;
the birds sang their song
and the sun shone exuberantly
and warmed our
bodies;
then we
got back together;
we were no longer one
but two;
we had to leave the garden again
and maybe in a dream
we were of one being together,
you just slept in my left arm, stretched,
and had
forgotten everything for the time being!

I am standing at the entrance of the garden
but cannot enter it
and will have to wait
until the next morning.
