Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Delirious Whispers of Love

Paused in final memory...
you wanted to hold my hand;
I, alone in hazy darkness,
am thinking of you.

At last I understand
everything kept in my name—
all of it, mirage.

Faint light,
fierce feeling,
at the start of firm resolve—
that waiting night...
when slight reproach was spent,
the echo of enchanted touch.

On dust-laden page after page...
written, my pseudonym,
uttered in sudden voice...
love's delirium.
