When the sky wishes to speak,
the earth falls silent!
When the moon reaches out,
the sun takes perfect cover!
When the rainbow peeks through,
the rain asks, where's the risk?
When green touches the edge,
the edge asks, where's the border?
When the stream joins the river,
the river flows straight to the sea!
When sorrow gropes for joy,
joy becomes a dream-eater!
When hope seeks a heart to live,
death, with gentle laughter, draws life close!
Oh, what kind of living is this yielding,
is life nothing but waiting to pass?
In this crowd of waiting lie all the sighs,
the defeated hope still hints at wild new life!
They believe they'll see again the dawn in birdsong,
walking beneath the night jasmine, they'll find the door to a new home.
Fathomless ocean, you will dive!
Sunlit noon, you will come along!
Sleeping afternoon, birds are calling!
The dusky path, at its bend!
She will return home, flame tree blossoms in hand,
does fate too harbor such hope?
Whatever one can do, one does!
Even fate loses, surrenders to fortune!
