Bonsai of Thoughts (Translated)

Bonsai of Thoughts: Two Hundred Sixteen

1. The pleasure of sin has barely ended
when the pain of virtue begins!

2. At a certain time...
all women look the same to men.

3. Your life is not yours alone, but also belongs to your family and those around you,
for the external aspects of your life affect their lives too.
But the anguish of your heart is yours alone. So it's better if the birth of that anguish comes entirely from your own hand.

4. Those who received the same advantages as I did, yet made less or equal use of them,
but still point fingers at my privileges when they speak—
their hypocrisy is hard to bear.

5. Not everyone's tongue stays inside their mouth;
some people's tongues rest in their boss's shoes.

6. I will die one day carrying the burden of not understanding you.

7. Those who think that being in another religion keeps one far from God—
stay away from them, if you truly love God.

8. Before grabbing my hand to drag me to heaven,
go to heaven yourself and show me!

9. The nectar-bearing moon adorns the sky above,
the heart finds solace gazing at it,
nothing more—just for that gentle light
the thirsty-eyed chakora yearns.

10. She who will never be mine—
why does she enter my life this way!

11. Love or hatred—I don't understand these things.
I only understand this: I want to stay with one who gives me peace of mind.

12. What no one has ever seen in you,
I have seen—that's why I loved you.

13. Why such arrogance because you can give pain?
Have I ever been proud because I can cry?

14. They say,
to get something good, you must endure suffering.
I say,
even to lose something good, you must endure suffering.

15. Why does the sky weep like that? Who touches it? Who kisses it?

16. For God's sake, don't hurt me anymore!

17. A friend is not one who always agrees with me about my mistakes.

Rather, a friend is one who sometimes says: You're just finding fault with yourself all the time! Don't you have anything else to do?

18. There are students
who require no qualifications to teach.
There are teachers
who require great qualifications even to be their student.

19. When someone no longer lets you grow,
let them go;
there's no point in holding yourself back.

20. What the heart desperately wants,
yet what is not in my fate—
maturity is learning to accept the longing for it with equanimity.
