1. Because you are not here
the sky is beautiful.
Because you were here
the sky was invisible.

2. Those certificates of yours
are of no use to me,
don't come forcing upon me
those unsolicited credentials.

3. Lord, what punishment is this—
to have created man!
What cannot be done by being human,
man does even that in your name!

4. One whose quest for reward
lies in destruction and death—
to him, life, creation, love, reason,
all these are trivial!

5. Each god,
a pair of tear-wet eyes.

6. One who cannot
do anything himself
is the one who
incites others!

7. What the morning sees, over and over...
from one flower to another
the butterfly's dance.

8. Power cuts at home.
Moonlight outside.
Conversations bloom in courtyards and verandas...

9. In the skies above
fireworks burn.
One year
spins into another.

10. Birthday cake.
In one breath
I hide my age!

11. One whose death is more beautiful than birth—
in another's death;
who else lives out such an ugly lifespan,
tell me!?
