Bonsai of Thoughts (Translated)

Bonsai of Thoughts: One Hundred and Fifty-Three

1. I saw you after so many days. What joy I felt!
...Suddenly the sleep was broken!
Fate cannot bear the sleep of happiness.

2. If you think of me as a stranger,
then why such cruelty toward strangers?

3. In your heart
there is no love,
there is no need for me.
Why then do I still remain!

4. He who twirls his stick through minds and minds—
his own mind is empty!

5. Whatever I did not receive in this life,
none of it was ever mine.
...Let this much remain on my epitaph!

6. Life—what a strange journey!
Even if you find traveling companions,
you still must walk alone!

7. In my laughter there is no victory,
only the shame of defeat is drawn!

8. Searching and searching for a life companion,
I found one at last;
and with her, unrest too!

9. What burns in the eyes
dies on the lips.
What fool calls even this beloved!

10. Without you
the story begins well enough,
but it never ends!

11. If I lose myself in you,
I may earn a bad name,
but at least I won't become nameless!

12. You keep winning by collecting prizes,
while I keep winning by collecting hearts.

13. One who melts at the mere sight of a wine glass—
does wine ever come his way?

14. The river is mine; yet if I drown
in that river, boat and all,
no one on the riverbank loses a thing!

15. The more I carry my grave on your shoulders,
the more I bind your bridal chamber to my heart.

16. I have made a path through the ruins of this heart;
why fear—cross over whenever you wish!

17. The river's banks may have broken,
but the river remains!
A shore will be found somewhere!

18. When weariness comes, sit in prayer.
The Creator's comings and goings are in this very shade!

19. The heart that has merged with this heart today—
that very heart is the killer of my soul!

20. First learn to bear pain as I have,
only then try to care for me!
