Bonsai of Thoughts: Nine

1. Don't remind me of those dark days I've weathered through.
I want to live a little longer yet.

2. Of all I possess, you are the most beloved,
Don't neglect me—next time, why not just sentence me to death!

3. I've returned to life once more, though I know not why,
Everyone accepted me back, except for you.

4. Before, I used to weep when sleep came; now I cannot sleep at all without tears.

5. I am that wilted flower, set apart from others beforehand. Even upon a corpse, I find no place!

6. Show me today all your sorrows,
Let me add mine to yours, and write us a fairy tale!

7. Who taught you to love so deeply?
With such love, oh, how one yearns to stay alive!

8. You say you've seen the weaver bird, yet you failed to see me!

9. You call only blood red, yet you lack the courage to say that the black ink of a pen is also blood!

10. How can I finish writing about the person who is my entire life in just two lines!?

11. If you forget how to weep, forget how to live as well—how's that?

12. You've only asked for answers from me, while I've never understood the question itself!

13. I'll take one final revenge for betrayal—by betraying my own humanity!

14. Consider me a mistake if you will; if you try to understand me properly, you'll find no place in your society's eyes!

15. You give your leftovers to the cat—
Should I then stand in line behind the cat?

16. Every day I learn bit by bit how difficult it is to become human.
And you dare declare yourself the finest of humans without reason? Shame!

17. If you wish to count my wounds, you'll need to learn mathematics anew.
The numbers you've learned won't suffice to hold my wounds.

18. What are you thinking, sitting there?
Well, whatever else you think, I'm certain you're not thinking of me!

19. You live your lives only to wait for death at the end,
While I, learning to die each day, move forward today on the path of living anew.

20. "Poet, my heart is broken, I'm in such pain now!"
"Ha! Of course you are. A broken heart is a lifelong game of joy. You don't know the joy of one who has played it!"
