Bonsai of Thoughts: Forty-Eight

1. Sometimes I even answer foolish people's questions.
Perhaps I needn't give those answers,
but they have such desperate need for them!
Even fools take pleasure in receiving someone's kind response!

2. Why threaten him with hell,
when he doesn't even care for heaven!

3. Why curse that deceiver again and again today,
when you once were dying to be deceived by him?

4. Yes, I could give it!
But why should I?

5. The one who loves you—
don't fear them;
whatever else they do, they won't kill you.
If they killed you, they couldn't survive either!

6. I'm not a fool, you know,
I become one only because you prefer to see me that way.

7. One day in moonlight,
I'll die bearing the burden of not understanding you.

8. In my life, you were the right one!
Otherwise, would you have come at the wrong time!

9. Everyone's tongue isn't in their mouth—
some keep theirs right in the boss's shoe.

10. So much gets mended, yet the heart won't heal,
so much breaks and rebuilds, but the heart won't break or mend.

11. The pain you felt that day when I returned—
today I suffer that much more for having sent you away.

12. Today is your day, enjoy it!
This is the world—everything comes back here!

13. That man who trusted everyone,
today he no longer trusts even himself.
And you still call yourselves human!

14. You weren't wrong either, nor was I.
Only the timing of our meeting was wrong.

15. I didn't receive love—no regret.
But your time with me passed well, didn't it?

you did only with your lips!

In this city today there is only darkness.

19. I don't even know where my mistake was!
