1. Even if we two had become each other's,
the rain would still have fallen!

2. Whenever it rains, I remember—
once upon a time, I'd call you the moment I saw rain!

3. That day I stood before the rain with my rain-soaked body.
Suddenly I realized—I'd mistaken the mirror for rain!

4. Once I used to get drenched in your love,
now I get drenched in rain.

5. One day, soaked in rain, I had kissed you…
Lost in that memory, I taste salt on my lips. Blood is flowing…

6. I stay silent because I don't want to disturb your peace.
And you think I've been defeated!

7. Don't be so sad, leave if you must.
I can't bear to see you in pain.

8. Perhaps happiness has its seasons,
it doesn't come all the time.
But sorrow, I see, is busier than happiness! Won't come even when called!
Yet when it does come, it brings love along.

9. I didn't need you in this life to suffer this much.
There are so many other wonderful ways to suffer!

10. People cry over small sorrows;
I've long passed that stage, which is why you see me so tearless!

11. The one who causes me such pain—
it's for them I pray!

12. Your smile matters more to me than you do.
If leaving me makes you happy, then so be it!

13. You said you wanted me!
Yet you took only my body!
What extra does this body have that you got by wanting me?

14. When night falls,
you see dew settling,
I see flowers weeping.
This is what distance means!

15. What was never mine—
except for that, I've received nothing else in this life!
Now what hope should I live for!

16. Why are you burning so?
Because I no longer set you ablaze?
