Bonsai of Thoughts

Bonsai of Thought: Fifty-Seven

1. Come, let us love simply.
Come, let us simply suffer.

2. The one before whom you can be vulnerable
without a second thought—
that is the person meant for love!

3. Don't tell me to stay silent.
Before I could meet you,
I had to remain silent for so many years.

4. Nothing has happened to me,
yet something has happened within me!

5. I am terribly curious to know—
where do people keep themselves?
And wherever they keep themselves, how do they manage it?

6. If we don't keep the poet alive,
who will keep the moon alive?

7. Most beautiful is the one
who never cares at all
whether anyone finds them beautiful or not!

8. Life is beautiful.
Dear heart, step carefully!

9. - Why do you hold onto sorrow?
- Where else would I put it?

- Why won't you step away from memory?
- Where would I step to?

10. Some days feel wonderful!
Some days feel terrible!
Some days, nothing feels like anything at all!

11. The rain has stopped,
the anguish remains.

12. If you truly love,
give not love, but peace.

13. It's not that I don't understand you.
The thing is, I don't want you.

14. Family doesn't necessarily mean something close to heaven.
It's possible your heaven lies elsewhere entirely!

15. Most of us return to the wrong homes.
I return to your home, you to mine.

16. The pain isn't that
you didn't understand me.
The pain is only this—
you left me and walked away.

17. Mountains, rain, mist, laptop, me.
Isn't this called love?

18. May such a day come
when
looking back at today
the heart will want to hum a tune.

19. What I am and what I am not—
the ribbon between these two is black.

20. If taking care of yourself means
burning down a bridge, then still—
why fear? I have matches in my pocket!
