Bengali Poetry (Translated)

Behind the Exhaustion of Words

I have no words left now, beloved!
From the day I saw you bargaining
over the price of my love,
all the words I had to say to you
vanished in an instant!

I have no words left now, beloved!
From the day I watched you analyze
whether I might be easily available
for the industrialization of your self-interest,
all the words I meant to say to you
disappeared in a single moment!

I have no words left now, beloved!
From the day I saw you casting me
as a fickle-hearted heroine
on the stage of your drama,
every word I longed to speak to you
has withered away, one by one!

I have no words left now, beloved!
From the day I watched you playing with me
as nothing more than a toy doll,
every word I couldn't say to you
has dried up, knowing it will remain forever unspoken!

I have no words left now, beloved!
From the day I saw you wanting to break me down completely,
not to make me a worshipper at the altar of your divinity
in blind devotion,
but to possess me as the sole signed slave
of your most contemptible system of bondage,
...from that day, yes beloved, from that very day
all the words I foolishly wanted to say to you
somehow vanished—before I could even blink again!
