Bengali Poetry (Translated)

As if you remain

Except for you...
I have no one left.

I've heard
you too don't wish to linger
in memory's fallen leaves.

Still, I've kept you
in this cage of my chest—
so you remain mine
through my very being,
touching sorrow,
in dark nights...
drenched in sudden rain,
in each sip of my tea.
