Very well, farewell then!

But I know,
in my stories of love and in my poems
I will hold us both to blame.

Don't think, not even by mistake,
that watching only yourself accused
one day you'll be free of all remorse.

In all my creations
I'll keep the scales of blame heavier
on being accused than on accusing—
to test and see
whether your sighs bear witness
to your love for me!
